Application Process

Step 2 - Interviews and Meeting Requirements

Applicants are interviewed upto three times before being offered an unconditional place on the Otago MBA.

If invited for an interview, depending on the outcome, applicants may progress to the next stage of the admission process, such as completeting the GMAT or providing references. The documentation required from applicants varies but is likely to include references, official academic transcripts, record of a satisfactory GMAT score, or proof of your English language proficiency.

Step 1 - Submit your CV and personal statement

To apply for the Otago MBA, applicants submit their CV and provide a 300-500 word personal statement. 

We will acknowledge receipt of applications by email. Then, the next step involves our selection panel reviewing each personal statement and deciding from this whether the application shall progress to the next stage of admission. For this reason, applicants should be diligent when writing their personal statement  Once we have done this, we will contact the applicant and either:

Early in the admission process prospective students are invited to join the Otago MBA Prospective Students Sub-Group on LinkedIn, the world's largest online 

professional network. We use this group to keep applicants updated with relevant information and encourage discussion amongst members as they move through the admission process and eventually prepare to study towards their Otago MBA.


Step 3 - Confirmation

When all conditions are met and a fee deposit has been paid, a place on the Otago MBA is confirmed.
