Melanie Lemke received the Otago MBA in 2011 having completed her MBA Business Project for her multinational employer, the Otto Group. Afterwards she returned to the Otto Group to take up a new role as a Senior Controller in the Strategic Controlling Division.

The Otago MBA taught me more about myself and what makes other people tick. I learnt what it takes to be a leader and improved my ability to see the 'big picture'. These are attributes I know will benefit my career.

Nico Hellmann completed the Otago MBA in 2009 with an international exchange to Barcelona where he specialised in strategic management. Today Nico travels Europe and South America meeting with clients for a global company in the wind energy industry. He takes his surfboard on business trips to Denmark and Spain, as he did while studying in Dunedin.

Having an Otago MBA opened new doors for me. After graduating, I went to Germany with the objective of entering the renewable energy sector. I found the industry small and close knit and realised becoming part of that club would be hard. But my Otago MBA made the difference
